"You gotta go for the gold."

In the spring of 2017 we received good news that the BIZ Stoop | Damn Good Teas was selected as 1 of 2 grantees for the United Roots Media Grant. We were paired with a young film maker (shout out Tefari) to produce a short video to highlight our growing tea brand and youth mentorship. Take a few minutes to watch take a glimpse into our story.

Our recommendations were XO good - that have been granted again via Alameda County's ALL-IN initiative! The BIZ Stoop: Luv Euphor Record Sto

is a community listening session that raise the question "what does 'Have a Record' mean to you?"

There are antiquated laws on the books; there are new laws; neo-laws; all of the above. Our sessions would focus on how much information people really have regarding laws and perceptions that impact them and the lives of their family. Also, if we know the things that caused barriers even though access was available - how can we as a community can better prepare the youth who are poise to take on investments from their community

Participants we seek: Those who identify as having a record; being the family member of one with record(s);  book-lovers; writers/artist; Hip-Hop; survivors; and Black residents or individuals who spend a significant amount of their time in Oakland. Ideal age range for participants is 16 - 65 years old, the youth and their immediate adult caretaker(s)
